PGR Timber & Connect Plumbing Supplies place future with iQ

Intact are pleased to announce that partner businesses PGR Timber and Connect Plumbing have placed an order to install the iQ software solution across their 12-branch network.

Covering the complete range of building, timber and plumbing products from their Essex and Surrey sites, PGR and Connect cover the whole of London and the South East of England. Pressure to keep up their enviable service levels meant that the companies embarked upon a complete review of the merchant software marketplace with the remit to modernise and streamline day to day processes and take away many of the manual tasks they faced.

As a leadership team both PGR and Connect place much emphasis on technology and leverage this to assist in all areas of their business. It was this drive that lead them to embark upon an installation of the flexible and powerful merchant solution iQ.

As a modern industry driven solution that can extend and scale with ease, what stood out to PGR and Connect was their ability to have control over their own application. iQ provides the ability to enhance and control the solution for the client themselves, something which set this solution aside from others.

Coupling this with Intact’s personal approach and relationships, as well as their unrivalled experience in delivery of solutions specific for the merchant industry, the Essex based businesses and NBG member placed their order for Intact iQ.

Speaking about their decision to move to iQ from Intact, Joe Williams (Company and Systems Manager) noted: “We have always tried to use software to give us an edge in the market but felt that the old system we were using didn’t offer the flexibility and control that we needed for our future. This is why we took the past 6 months reviewing numerous merchant software suppliers for something that was in tune with what we needed moving forward.”

He continued, “With Intact iQ, we found a piece of software built using the latest technologies giving us the tools to be able to innovate and keep one step ahead of our competitors as we look to the future. We were also impressed with how the iQ package gave us autonomy to make a lot of these changes ourselves, giving us ultimate control over our own system, something which the other systems were unable to offer. During the process we built a strong relationship with the guys from Intact and their experience of our sector coupled with the flexibility and power of iQ made this overall offering the right choice for us.”

NOTE: PGR Timber & Connect Plumbing originally bought their Intact system from BlueRock Systems, which was acquired by Intact in 2022.
