FAQs: Integrating Intact ERP with Clover

Got questions? Here are some common ones about using Clover with Intact systems.
Is this integration available in GenetiQ as well as Intact iQ? Yes. The Clover Integration Suite works with both Intact iQ and GenetiQ, giving you the same seamless payment experience whether you're using our desktop or cloud ERP platform.
Do I need a Clover device to use the integration? No. With Customer Not Present (CNP) functionality, you can take payments over the phone via a secure hosted page—no physical device required.
Can I store customer card details in Intact iQ? No. Card details aren’t stored in the ERP. Instead, Clover uses tokenisation to generate a secure card token, which can be safely saved in Intact iQ or GenetiQ for future use.
Can I choose which card to refund to? Yes. You can refund to the original card, a stored card, or process an unlinked refund—depending on how the payment was taken.
What’s the difference between a linked and an unlinked refund?
  • A linked refund matches an original payment—for example, refunding a deposit or invoice.

  • An unlinked refund lets you send money back to a card without needing to reference a specific transaction. 

Can I tailor the payment experience for my customers? Yes. You can brand the hosted payment page with your own logo, colours, and text formatting for a consistent customer experience.
What happens if a payment fails?

The transaction won’t go through, and your ERP will notify you that the payment failed. No updates are made to the sales order or invoice until the payment is successful.

Can I use this integration with multiple Clover accounts? Yes. If your business has multiple branches or locations, you can configure different Clover accounts within Intact iQ or GenetiQ.
What if I don’t have Clover yet? That’s no problem. You don’t need to be an existing Clover customer to get started. We’ll help you understand which Clover solution is the best fit for your business, whether you’re taking payments in-store, remotely, or over the phone. As part of the integration setup, we can connect you with the right Clover provider to get your account and devices up and running.
