FS Cables had been using a UNIX based system for 18 years but as the company continued to expand it became obvious that the system could no longer support their current and future business model. Due to fear of change FS Cables implemented a software system provided by their incumbent supplier at the time, however they removed it after 6 months and reverted to their old UNIX system. With the benefit of this experience FS Cables reviewed 14 or 16 vendors in total; however none of them, with the exception of Intact iQ, could offer the tailor-ability that they required, let alone the functionality that they would have deemed to be standard in a modern ERP system.

With the Intact iQ integration with TNT freight dispatch addresses are now automatically rendered via file transfer; previously it was one person’s job to type all the addresses into the courier system. Intrastat and sales reports used to be produced manually; now they are fully automated. We have done away with a huge amount of traditional reporting.
