Just a Minute with... Karl Healy

Welcome to 'Just a Minute With......', where we find out a little bit more about your friendly Intacters. This edition is all about our Application Support Consultant, Karl Healy. 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
My background: I have over 9 years of experience in Intact V/Xline. Prior to that I was a SAP Order Processor for Thermo Fisher Scientific and did the same role for the consignment of spinal surgery equipment at Medtronic.

What's the first app you check in the morning?

Bleacher report. I'm too old to stay up until 4am on a school night watching basketball! 

What's your favourite travel location? 

For the summer, Cefalu in the north of Sicily, and in the winter it would have to be somewhere like Germany or the Netherlands for the Christmas card type appearance. 

Are you a coffee or tea person?  

Two words: black coffee

What three items would you take with you to a deserted island? 

A good scotch with a glass, a hammock, and probably some factor 50. 

What's on your bucket list? 

I'd love to go to Boston to watch the Boston Celtics play live, or visit Fiji as it looks beautiful! 

Spring, Summer, Autumn, or Winter? 

Autumn. The colours, the food, Bonfire night, and Halloween. Sitting by a fireplace in a little pub watching the world go by. 

What do you love about your job? 

The people. Intact has a lot of interesting and friendly people, and they really do help with the atmosphere around the office!

Catherine Cane

I joined Intact’s marketing team in October 2023. My academic journey began at the University of Liverpool, where I studied English language and literature. Feeling that one degree wasn’t enough, I stayed and earned a Master's degree in creative and critical writing. During my studies, I wrote for various platforms, including a student newspaper and a famous Liverpool attraction. I knew I wanted to pursue a career where I could write daily, leading me to explore the world of content marketing. At Intact, I compile and write content for our website, upsell campaigns, customer newsletter, and manage our social media channels. The best part of my job is the opportunity to interview colleagues, seeking their insights and knowledge for valuable content, and that each completed task is followed by ten uncompleted ones. Outside of work, I’ll be at the gym, out for a run (jog), or exploring markets in London with friends.
