INTACT INNOVATION HUB
This is the Innovation Hub where we share all the innovations our R&D team are working on.
We like to try out new technology to see how we can drive efficiencies across our customers’ business processes. Not all of these projects will make it into Intact iQ but check out the updates to see what could be coming next for your ERP system.
- R&D Funding Commitment for Intact Software25th April 2017
Innovation forms a central part of our DNA here at Intact Software. Working closely with our customers we have built a product roadmap that delivers. We strip away the ‘buzz’ from the trends circulating this industry and deliver innovation that may not always excite…but it will always deliver. We focus on developing innovations that offer industry specific, differentiated solutions for our customers; both new and existing.
An example of that being our approach to the provision of a Cloud based offering for our software. Unlike others who jumped on the bandwagon we are excited to bring our customers the Cloud with a twist. This project is in the latter stages of completion and has been co-funded by the European Regional Development Fund and Enterprise Ireland under the Border, Midland and Western Regional Operational Programme 2014-2020. We look forward to launching this product in the coming months to our network of over 28,000 users worldwide. Watch this space!
- Keeping Customers Happy in the Showroom26th May 2016
We’re working hard at making it easier for our customers to do business with theirs. Sometimes showrooms for merchants and wholesale distribution, particularly those in bathrooms and tiles struggle to serve their customers at busy periods when tills or computers are in use.
Carry your sales assistant app on your tablet to process orders, quotations, stock look up all right in front of your customer. It’s more complex than you might think, so the lab team are casing out all possible scenarios…. Watch this space!
- AR & VR in the Warehouse17th May 2016
This week we’ve been trying out VR (Virtual Reality) and AR (Augmented Reality) for our customers.
Could Virtual reality save hours, days, weeks or months in training?
Could Augmented reality improve picking and packing and counting in the warehouse?
The last time we had this much excitement around warehousing was with Google Glass. Even though Google brought that product to end of life much sooner than expected, we’re still working out the cost benefit and risk analysis of using AR/VR with iQ…and it sure is a lot of fun!
