Sales Order Processing
When asked what the key strengths of Intact over it’s competitors are, the direct answer would refer to stock control and order processing. Through many innovative additions over the years, the Intact sales order processing has become one of the strongest in it’s field.
With a strong emphasis on quick access to vital information, the 'Sales Order Processing' (SOP) module can be used in many different applications. When in direct contact with the customer, Intact ensures that all vital statistics such as credit history, sales history, pricing information, account information is no more than a single keystroke or mouse click away.
Once the order is received it can work it’s way through a predefined set of stages before being fully supplied.
Key Features
- There are two methods of entering a sales order—through the full sales order processing or through the POS Screen.
- A detailed header screen is first filled out before detailing the line items.
- On entering the line items, detailed stock information is displayed in the bottom corner - 'Order Information', 'Reserved Stock Information', 'History'.
- The sales order is then assigned a particular status e.g. 'On Order', 'Part Delivered', 'On Hold', 'Delivered', 'Complete'. These status codes can be password protected and can debar printing or picking of orders.
- When entered, the user can carry out the following tasks amongst others - check stock, copy order, check and change due dates, print pick lists, take deposit, create back to back purchase order, write a memo, scan copy of sales order acknowledgement.
- Sales orders can be part supplied leaving the balance on back order.
- There is a 'Call Off' facility for large bulk orders that will be drawn down over a period of time.
- Through intuitive use of 'Sales Order Status Codes', many of our customers have set up a process whereby they can track an order through their specific in- house processes e.g. ordered, wiring, test, QC test, packaging, shipped. This in turn allows them to provide a better service to their customer base.
- The 'Sales Order Cycle' leads to the 'Delivery Docket' stage. At this stage the delivery method is captured as well as a 'Pack Count' and the actual 'Delivery Address'.
- All of these dockets are linked within the system for full traceability.
- Other items that can be monitored are order fill rates, order lead times, part deliveries, back orders, linked purchase orders to name but a few.
