Hardware Stores

Intact Accounting and Business Management Software has had a long association with hardware stores and other trade counter applications since its inception in 1992.  Designed and developed in Dundalk, local companies such as Liam Rice Timber Importers, Daly Brothers, Deeside Supplies embraced it from the start.

Since then, we have gone on to install the system in many other similar stores and have further developed our product to meet the needs of this growing sector.

At Intact, we aim to become the market leader in Ireland and the UK in supplying solutions to hardware stores and builders providers.  We recognize the enormity of changing over from existing software but our consultants bring with them years of experience and make the conversion as seamless as possible.

Trade Counter / POS Module

Our close association with the hardware supplies industry has led us to develop what can only be described as one of the most intuitive point of sale solutions available on the market.  We recognize the need to be able to liaise freely with the customer armed with relevant information such as account balance, date of last payment, outstanding orders, sales history, purchase order information etc.  Intact has also developed a range of 'User Access Options' which can tailor the activities on individual sales personnel in relation to margin control, credit notes etc.  Reports available from the POS system include margin analysis by till, by rep, on an hourly, daily, monthly basis.

Timber Sales

Intact has developed a range of features which accommodate the sale of timber in various quantities and measures.  With a combination of cubic meters, cubic feet, linear meters, linear feet, price per foot, price per 100 mtrs., Intact provides the user with a range of options which should tailor the system to meet individual requirements.  This module is integrated with the POS at which stage various quantities of various lengths can be sold with the cumulative total making up the quantity - e.g. 10 x 8ft lengths; 8 x 12ft lengths; 4 x 6ft lengths; total 200 linear feet @ €1 per ft. = €200.  Intact has further developed the timber module to accommodate timber treatment whereby companies apply various processes to the timber - each of which adds on an amount to the cost or sell price of that product.  This is an optional feature that is not part of the standard timber sales module.

Delivery Dockets / Invoices

Intact offers businesses the opportunity to choose between producing invoices or delivery dockets at the trade counter.  In many applications, builders providers choose to send a delivery docket with the load and follow this with a batch of invoices on a daily, weekly or monthly basis.  Delivery dockets can be edited prior to posting adding an element of flexibility and reducing the number of credit notes.  There is also a facility to place outstanding items on a 'bacK order system' as well as the ability to produce back to back sales/purchase orders.
