Bill of Materials

Acknowledging the strength of the Intact stock module, one expects that the 'Bill of Materials' would follow suit. That is exactly what you get from the 'Bill of Materials' module. Whilst Intact is not a full 'Material Requirements Planning' (MRP) software package, it is possible to use the various modules within the Intact range to run an effective stock ordering and material planning system.

Many of our customers are involved in manufacturing and are using Intact to plan and run their production processes. Our tightly integrated stock module ensures that materials that are required for production will be identified well in advance and ordered in time for production. The manufacturing and stock control of sub assemblies is of equal importance and handled very effectively by the bill of materials module.

Each Stock Item can be identified as a 'Finished Good', 'Raw Material', 'Manufactured Part', 'Service Item'.
Multi Level BOM’s can be set up for each item with associated costings being updated.
Costs can be viewed by 'Stock Category' and 'Labour' elements.
Products and BOMs can be quickly copied and altered for specific customer requirements.
The 'Works Order' module will be tightly integrated with the bill of materials feature.
Value of 'work in progress' can be quickly analysed and reported.
Links to 'Sales Order Processing' and 'Job Costing' modules.
Facility to assess materials availability prior to commencing production by printing a 'Top Level BOM' report
Other reports include a 'BOM Structure Report', 'BOM Pick List', 'Component Pick List', 'Component Costings Report', 'Sub Assembly Costings', 'BOM Quotation', 'Bulk Order'.

BOM provides fast and accurate manufacturing and stock information. Control and valuation of critical measures such as WIP (work in progress), BOM structures and costs are all taken as standard features in the Intact BOM Module.
